| Trophy Hunting In The Texas Panhandle |
ABOUT 4F
4F Outfitters was started in 2001 by me Cal
Ferguson. It has been my life long dream to have a
career managing wildlife and hunting. 4F Outfitters
was built to provide a straight forward wildlife
management service to private landowners and to
provide the ultimate hunting experience to all who
join us. As hunters we have all experienced or
heard horror stories of dishonest, oversold, and
misrepresented outfitting services out there. 4F
Outfitters takes great pride in our straight forward,
honest approach in selling and conducting our
hunts.
Currently 4F is managing and hunting over 75,000
acres in 5 TX panhandle counties for White- Tail,
Mule Deer, Pronghorn Antelope, Aoudad Sheep,
Rio Grande Turkey, Pheasant, Quail, and Dove. We
limit our harvest to very few animals off of any of
these properties allowing animals to get old and
big. This provides hunters the opportunity to hunt
large properties with high numbers of mature
animals, keeping success percentages very high.
We have several ranches that on a given year we
may only take one buck for every 8,000 to 10,000
acres. At the same time I have properties with
higher concentrations of animals that allow for
taking a buck for every 1,000 acres. Comparatively
our animal concentration numbers are lower than
many parts of Texas or most other parts of North
America. The one thing that separates the
Panhandle from most other places is the amount of
large undivided properties where land is often
measured in sections (square miles) rather than
acres making game much more manageable than
most anywhere. Combining this with world class
genetics sets the stage for some of the best trophy
hunting anywhere.
Since its beginning 4F Outfitters has been
recognized in The Journal of the Texas Trophy
Hunters, Texas Parks and Wildlife, the Texas
Sporting Journal, North American Hunter, and Safari
Club Internationals' Safari Magazine.
4F has also been seen on Tom Mirandas' Real Tree
Whitetail Country on E.SP.N., Bow-Techs' Western
Adventures , Limb Savers Outdoors on The Mens
Channel, Thompson Centers Game Trails on The
Outdoor Channel, and Cabelas' Americana Outdoors
on the Outdoor Channel.
In 2008 4F will be seen on North American Hunter TV
,The Hunters Journal on the Outdoor Channel.

THE CREW
The reason for our success here at 4F Outfitters stems from
the fact that we are a family operated and family oriented
operation (4F=the 4 Fergusons). We are a very close group
with everyone taking part. From my two boys Brock and
Cade (skinners &entertainment), my wonderful wife Becca
(master chef, booking agent, guide, and head of the S.M.A.
Dept.), my dad Al (head guide and v.p. of the S.M.A. Dept.),
my mom Becky(P.R.) brothers Clint and Chris (guides,
entertainment), along with all of the other great guides here
at 4F outfitters. We will all work hard and have fun while
seeing to it that you have a fun, memorable, and successful
hunt.

The topography here in the Panhandle is
much different than what most people
envision when they think of TX. Terrain
Ranges from flat short grass prairies,
farmland, rough breaks and canyons, rolling
sand hills, to hardwood covered creek
bottoms with scattered cottonwoods. Overall
the Panhandle looks much more like Kansas
than most of Texas, with the Kansas border
being only 80 miles from our headquarters.
